Formed in 2002 by a dedicated team of experts from within the networking industry, AIT Partnership Group are skilled and experienced installers of external and internal wireless infrastructure technologies. With many years of combined experience in specifying building to building links and 802.11 based managed and non-managed WLANs we have acquired and developed key skillsets and tools in the fields of site survey, spectrum analysis and implementation of wireless technologies in all scenarios.
In our experience, wireless integration requires a unique mixture of skills. Health and safety aspects and more physical considerations such as building regulations and mounting designs have always been important. AIT Partnership Group have stock of bespoke bracket designs to allow for installation of wireless equipment in any scenario. Brackets are manufactured and powder coated to order here in Reading. Never relying on standard vendor/ manufacturer designs allows us to define the strongest fixings, imperative when dealing with external PTP technologies. Aesthetics when mounting internally are also imperative. Bespoke designed mounting systems allow us to ensure less obtrusive mounts in clinical areas.
Access training and licenses are imperative. Masts require certified riggers and external building mounts will invariably need IPAF trained and licensed installer. AIT Partnership Group have developed skills all areas are experienced in all requirements for Health and Safety documentation such as Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Understanding building regulations and how construction materials affect mounting are also aspects that would not be understood by a normal networking company. AIT Partnership Group have invested in resource and tools such as mapping software, RF planning and site survey tools and path profiling software that enable us to understand and design effective and robust networks.
Alongside these wireless specific capabilities, it is imperative to have detailed knowledge and experience of more traditional networking technologies. The demarcation point for wireless point-to-point and LAN technologies is never clear. AIT Partnership Group have integration skills that allow us to trouble shoot connectivity issues outside of our responsibility, whether they be down to networking hardware configurations such as Spanning Tree considerations or software authentication issues from Microsoft Active Directory and RADIUS. In fact understanding the full security implications of any wireless installation make up another massive concern, especially for NHS clients.
