Millimeter Wave Radio (Light Licensed)

Our light-licensed Millimeter Wave technology enables point-to-point wireless communications using very high radio frequencies (at 71-76 and 81-86 GHz) for multi-gigabit-per-second transmission of data, voice and video, enabling implementation of "Triple Play" services including HDTV. Superior link performance is achieved through use of unique technology from exclusive strategic partner relationships and extensive patent collections. These links have 100 times more "link margin" (20dB) than competitive products, allowing higher availability networks to be realized even in the most inhospitable environments.

Due to the vast amount of spectrum (roughly 13 GHz) available in these bands, millimeter-wave radios have quickly become the fastest point-to-point wireless solutions on the market. Radio transmission products offering full-duplex data rates up to 1.25 Gbps, at carrier class availability levels of 99.999%, and over distances close to one mile or more are available. Due to cost-effective pricing, Millimeter Wave radios have the potential to transform business models for mobile backhaul providers and metro/enterprise "Last-Mile" access connectivity.

Planning for Millimeter wave is based on rainfall, compared to FSO which is based on visibility, predominantly fog.
